ADINA software program provide commercial CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) simulation. ADINA software is developed and circulated by ADINA R&D, Inc. worldwide. ADINA R&D Inc. is established by Dr. Klaus Jürgen Bathe in 1986. ADINA R&D Inc. headquarter situated in Watertown, Massachusetts, USA. ADINA provide solution to industry and academic institution.

ADINA software offers solution of Structural, Heat Transfer, Electromagnetic and Fluid problems. ADINA software provide solution for Multiphysics problems like: thermo-mechanical and fluid-structure interface. ADINA provide its nonlinear structural analysis code to NX Nastran Sol 601/701 for its advanced nonlinear module.

In 1974, ADINA program development start by Dr. Klaus Jürgen Bathe. Dr. Klaus Jürgen Bathe also principal developer of 2 finite element programs SAP IV & NONSAP, before ADINA program was developed. Dr. Klaus Jürgen Bathe also work as technical director of ADINA R&D Inc. Company.

ADINA program development was done by ADINA R&D Inc. and focus to develop trustworthy and proficient finite element techniques. Academic conference at MIT is sponsored by ADINA R&D Inc. on non-linear FEA (Finite Element Analysis). ADINA R&D Inc. contracted an OEM treaty with EDS in 2003. NX Nastran of Siemens PLM Software provide nonlinear structural analysis capabilities of ADINA, after agreement with EDS.

ADINA is known as Automatic Dynamic Incremental Nonlinear Analysis.

ADINA Software offers 4 principal modules are:

ADINA 4 modules coupled with one another to provide solution for Multiphysics problems, due to that reaction of the system is affected by the interaction of several physical fields.

ADINA also offers CAD models and Finite Element Models in Nastran format to various CAD & CAE Softwares. ADINA also used Femap for Pre & Post-processing of ADINA Simulations.

ADINA Structure module offers Linear & Non-Linear analysis of structure and solids. ADINA Thermal module offers heat transfer analysis of solids & field problems. ADINA CFD module offers fluid flows – compressible and incompressible include heat transfer analysis. ADINA EM module offers electromagnetic events analysis.
